Ok so those of you that know me (lucky aren’t you??) know that y husband Jon is what you would call a hypochondriac. For those that don’t know what this means hypochondria is defined as:

Basically it means he freaks out about of all things unhealthy. It helps that he works in Hopkins epidemiology department. And since I appear to be in a definition kind of mood. Epidemiology is:
So, it pretty much means he freaks out about everything. When we go to the Melting Pot for dinner he pulls out his watch and times how long it is in there. When he grills burgers they have to be a particular temp. And heaven forbid he eat a steak that is medium well! If it isn’t burnt it could still have germs. The fact that he allows me to have a dog is astounding. Now, please don’t think he is totally paranoid, he isn’t, he doesn’t hold a lit match to his silverware or anything, he is just…well Jon.
So, while doing a little web surfing I came across this article. Which I promise will FREAK HIM OUT when he reads it. Mainly, because he is lazy when it comes to his gym bag and I am sure this will change him! (insert evil laugh here) You would totally do it if you were me also!
Health.com did a post on How to Degerm your gym bag. It is actually a pretty good read. I’m going to be sure to get some extra bags to store my shoes and bathing suit instead of just chucking them into my bag. I’ve also been eyeing up a new water bottle for my bike and these ones from camelBak look interesting since you just squeeze and drink. Anyone else use these? I’m so tired of cleaning the dirty ones from my pull bottle. Which, if you have never removed them, do it! It will gross you out!!

And while you are at it. Next time you are at the gym and you use a machine. Take a few seconds to grab one of those wipes in the big container and wipe off your machine. It is just common curtesy.
